The Great Divide #3

This third issue of Dynamite's post-apocalyptic series announces its stakes right on the cover: a massive, grinning fighter looms over a bloodied, dazed blonde man who looks very much on the losing end of a brutal confrontation. Adam Markiewicz's cover art captures the raw physicality of the scene with striking economy — the blood spatters across the dark background and the size contrast between the two figures do plenty of the talking. The cheeky "Free Self-Help Book Inside: Light Reading for the Apocalypse" badge adds a darkly comic touch that signals this series knows exactly what kind of world it's playing in.
