The Goon #19

Eric Powell's The Goon #19 delivers one of the series' most wonderfully strange cover images: the big-fisted Goon wading through churning water, a tentacle coiled around his raised arm, while an enormous brain-like creature covered in dozens of staring eyeballs looms overhead — with a couple of shambling, slack-jawed undead figures caught up in the chaos beside him. Powell's painted cover has a moody, murky atmosphere that blends pulp horror with dark comedy in exactly the way fans of this series have come to love.
