The Friendly Ghost, Casper #91

Harvey Comics takes Casper on an underwater adventure in this March 1966 issue, where the friendly ghost comes face to face with a rattling pirate skeleton guarding an open treasure chest overflowing with gold coins — a cutlass and scattered loot completing the sunken scene. Bubbles trail upward around Casper as he reaches out toward the startled (or perhaps startling) bony buccaneer, whose pirate hat bobs nearby in the current. It's a charming, playful cover that captures everything lovable about Casper — even the spooky stuff ends up feeling like fun.
