The Friendly Ghost, Casper #78

Harvey Comics' beloved friendly ghost is up to something charmingly curious in this 1965 issue, as Casper floats through a snowy night scene to tend to an enormous, snow-capped clock embedded in a brick wall — the clock itself sporting an expressive face with wide, watchful eyes. Armed with what looks like a small tool in his ghostly hands, Casper seems to have taken on the role of timekeeper, setting the scene perfectly for the story inside, "Calling Dr. Casper." It's a wonderfully whimsical wintertime cover that captures everything endearing about everyone's favorite friendly ghost.
