Harvey Comics' lovable specter gets caught up in America's favorite pastime on this cheerful 1970 cover — Casper, wearing an oversized baseball glove, reaches out to snag a ball that's sailing right out of the television set beside him, a bowl of snacks nearby as if he'd settled in for a cozy afternoon of watching the game. It's a wonderfully playful image that captures everything warm and whimsical about the Friendly Ghost. Issue #144 also features the story "The Spirit of Fashion," promising more of the lighthearted fun that made this Harvey Comics series a staple of the era.
