The Fox and the Crow #54

From DC's beloved funny-animal series comes issue #54, and the cover sets the tone perfectly: the Crow — dapper in his purple hat — has clearly swiped a sausage right off the Fox's roasting fork, sending the startled Fox tumbling backward near his little campfire atop a grassy bluff. The slapstick energy practically leaps off the page, with smoke still curling from the pilfered hot dog as the Crow makes his gleeful getaway.
