The Flintstones #9
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFred Flintstone has never lacked confidence, and this cover — penciled by Scott Jeralds and inked by Scott Awley — captures him at peak Bedrock bravado: standing on what appears to be an alien planet, bowling ball raised triumphantly, declaring "I claim this uninhabited planet in the name of my people!" Behind him, a crowd of bewildered blue alien figures and what look like crashed stone spacecraft suggest the planet may not be quite as uninhabited as Fred thinks. Subtitled "Fred Flintstone… Spaced Invader!" on the cover itself, this 1996 Archie Comics issue promises a prehistoric fish-out-of-water adventure that plays Fred's lovable obliviousness to wonderful comic effect.
