The Flash #20
This volume collects issues from the 2024 'The Flash' series, continuing the adventures of Wally West as the Fastest Man Alive. In 'Time Heist,' the Flash faces a temporal crisis that forces him to race through history, confronting threats from his past and future to prevent a catastrophic disruption to the timeline. Written by Simon Spurrier with art by various creators, this trade paperback is part of the current ongoing Flash saga published by DC Comics.
In "Misadventures in Babysitting," Wally West and his family—Linda, Irey, and Jai—welcome baby Wade with open arms, only to face a shocking disruption when Granny Goodness steals the infant during a temporal experiment gone wrong. With time and space unraveling, Wally rallies a team to chase the kidnapper across dimensions, testing the limits of speed, family, and loyalty. Written by Jeremy Adams and illustrated by Fernando Pasarin with inks by Oclair Albert and Will Robson, this emotional, high-stakes adventure features dynamic art and heartfelt moments, all capped by a striking cover by Taurin Clarke.
When Kid Flash [Wallace West; "Ace"] takes on babysitting duty, things take a wild turn—literally—when Surge [Jai West], Thunderheart [Iris West; Irey], and Animal Girl [Maxine Baker] are suddenly whisked to an alternate Earth. Trapped with a rogue crew of villains led by Knives Maroney and including Dr. Nightmare, Reverse-Grodd, and Foul Play, Ace must leap through dimensions to rescue them. Along the way, he teams up with the Super Sons [Robin [Damian Wayne]; Superboy [Jon Kent]], who’ve also been pulled into the chaos, as the team scrambles to survive a world where the rules don’t apply.
Wally West and his family are just settling into life with their newborn son, Wade, when a routine experiment with Mister Terrific goes awry—Granny Goodness steals the baby right from under their noses. With time itself unraveling around them, Wally rallies a ragtag team of heroes, including a young Ace, a futuristic Hourman, and a host of familiar allies, to chase the kidnapper across fractured timelines and forgotten eras. The race to bring Wade home becomes a desperate mission through the echoes of history, where every second counts and the past is never quite as it seems.
In "Assault on Eternity," Wally West, Wallace West, and the Terrifics—joined by Hourman, Gold Beetle, Omega-Bam-Man, and a handful of allies—race across time and space to rescue baby Wade from Granny Goodness, who seeks to mold him into a weapon among her elite youth soldiers. With the fate of a future generation hanging in the balance, the team must outwit her twisted plans before time itself unravels.
In a fractured reflection of reality, Max Mercury and The Flash find themselves trapped in a hall of mirrors by Mirror Master, their speed useless in a realm where every angle lies. Only Impulse, with his untested focus and lightning reflexes, stands between them and oblivion—his greatest challenge not speed, but staying present long enough to break the illusion.
In "Blitz Back," Zoom confronts the echoes of his past as he emerges from the Speed Force, driven by a twisted belief that only through loss can Wally West truly become a hero. With memories of his father’s betrayal and his mother’s sacrifice weighing on him, he sets his sights on Wally—while the shadows of familiar foes like Gorilla Grodd and The Clown loom in the distance.
In "Flash Family," Barry Allen and Iris West journey to the future to reconnect with their children Don and Dawn Allen, sharing heartfelt moments across time. Back in the present, they reunite with Wally West and his family, finding warmth and connection in the bonds that span generations.
