The concluding issue of Image's The Field arrives with a cover that pulls no punches — a cascade of near-identical, barely-clothed figures tumbles through a cosmic void of swirling light and deep space, their expressions a mix of anguish and bewilderment. Simon Roy's linework gives the scene an unsettling, almost fractal quality, as if identity itself is unraveling against the stars. It's a fittingly surreal capstone image for Ed Brisson and Roy's strange, relentless series.
