This is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "K.N. Pepper, King of the K-Nuts, Scores a Bull" depicts the mischievous K-Nuts characters encountering a bull during a picnic outing and narrowly escaping its horns through various comic mishaps. "In the Shadows" is a dramatic serial following Harold Hood, who becomes involved in a criminal scheme; after being framed and imprisoned, he escapes and seeks to prove his innocence while evading both the law and those who originally wronged him. The issue also includes "Sally Cinders," "Jack Pressed the Button," "Flossie and Phyl," "He Didn't Keep His Hair On," and other shorter comic strips, along with an advertisement for "Merry & Bright" and beauty advice from Miss Shirley Kellogg.
