Jonathan Hickman and Ryan Bodenheim's The Dying and the Dead reaches its fourth issue with a cover that's equal parts grim and stylish — four weathered, hard-faced men emerge from a field of murky green and amber, flanked by scattered shell casings and what appears to be a battered, scarred mask, all pooling together like the aftermath of something irreversible. Bodenheim's linework gives each face a distinct weight and history, the kind of men who've clearly seen worse than whatever's coming next.
