The Dodo and the Frog #92
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis cheerful November 1957 DC humor comic captures a perfectly timed gag: Dodo, sporting his straw hat and striped tie, cups a hand to his mouth to holler "Hey, Fenimore! You can come downstairs now! I've pulled the cable through!" — blissfully unaware that poor Frog has been dragged right through the wall in a shower of crackling electricity. Otto Feuer's clean, expressive linework gives both characters a wonderful rubbery energy that suits the slapstick situation beautifully. At just a dime, this was prime Saturday-afternoon comedy for young readers in 1957.
