The Disney Afternoon #6

Poor Darkwing Duck is having the worst sick day imaginable — there he sits in his signature purple hat and cape, red-nosed and miserable, clutching a thermometer and a tissue box while a "Crime Wave Ramps Up" headline from the St. Canard Bug blares in the foreground and chaos erupts behind him. It's a wonderfully funny setup for "Bad Medicine," which promises plenty of comic mischief when St. Canard's self-proclaimed terror-of-the-night is too under the weather to answer the call. Marvel's The Disney Afternoon #6 from 1995 delivers that irresistible mix of superhero parody and cartoon charm that made this anthology series such a treat.
