“Faust Food”

The Creeper crashes a fast-food joint in spectacular fashion on this cover by Shawn Martinbrough — the wild-haired, yellow-faced antihero is sprawled upside-down across the counter, green feathered cape spilling everywhere, while a deadpan employee in a "Burger Clown" cap asks, "Do you want fries with that?" The story title "Faust Food" promises some darkly comedic chaos to match this perfectly off-kilter scene. Len Kaminski and Martinbrough (with inks by Sal Buscema) were clearly having a lot of fun with this 1998 DC series.
