Collecting the daily and Sunday strips from 1967–1968, this ninth volume of Fantagraphics' archival series showcases Charles M. Schulz at the height of his powers. The cover pairs two strip panels side by side: in the first, Linus winds up to deliver a emphatic "BOOT!" to a startled Snoopy mid-air, and in the second, a sheepish Linus holds a book while Snoopy reads aloud the quietly devastating punchline — "This is 'Be Kind to Animals Week.'"
