The Complete Alice in Wonderland #4
Dynamite's 2010 adaptation of Lewis Carroll's beloved story reaches its fourth and final issue, and the cover — pencilled and inked by Érica Awano — delivers a fittingly grand send-off. Alice herself sits crowned upon a throne at the head of a banquet table, flanked by the White Queen and Red Queen in their respective seats, while Humpty Dumpty, the Mad Hatter, and a rabbit-eared figure crowd the feast alongside platters of food, glowing candelabras, and blooming lilies. It's a richly detailed tableau that captures the surreal pageantry of Wonderland perfectly, and with Moore and Reppion's script bringing Carroll's words to comics form, this concluding chapter looks like a wonderful keepsake of the whole adaptation.
