# The Comet #67 (April 5, 1949) "The Golden Scarab" follows Miles, who discovers that the final locket bearing the last clue to the Ben Hassi treasure is in the possession of Sheik Ali Pasha, and journeys to the sheik's palace to retrieve it. Miles navigates the sheik's torture chambers and interrogations, enduring a whipping and encounters with deadly snakes, while refusing to divulge his knowledge of the locket's whereabouts. He eventually provides the required information to Ahmed, who collects the scarab and deciphers the hieroglyphic message revealing the location of the treasure. The issue also contains several shorter features including "Canyon Men," "Round the Flying Fish," "Happy the Man from Mars," "Captain Jungo," "Gafian the Desert," and "Out of Doors," along with various puzzles, instructional content, and advertisements.
