The Golden Scarab follows adventurer Miles Thompson through the bazaars of Algiers, where he battles a greasy Arab dealer over fine tapestries. "Round the World in a Flying Fish" features Jack and Jill piloting an experimental aircraft that flies like a bird through space, eventually crashing back to Earth where they encounter Chinese prisoners and discover an automatic device. The issue also includes feature articles on wildlife and notable people, puzzles, instructional columns like "Out of Doors" and "Toy-Time Corner," and assorted comics including a "Detective ME" strip and wordplay features.
