The Comet #23 is an all-star anthology featuring multiple stories. "Jungle Lord" follows Dick and Bibi as they attempt to cross the great Zambezi River in Africa by riding on a hippopotamus to escape a villainous big-game hunter. "Round the World in the Flying Fish" depicts Jack and Jill's experimental trip around the world in an all-purpose flying machine that crashes in the mountains, after which they are rescued by Uncle Bob and his helicopters. "The Luddites Are Out!" is an adventure story for boys and girls featuring the Perol of the Luddite Boys, set during the early 19th-century Luddite uprising in England's Midlands. Additional features include "Mystery of the Moor," a continued story about a perilous cave exploration, plus puzzles, a crossword, and a paper boat craft project.
