“Crawling Evil”

"Crawling Evil" delivers a deliciously twisted tale from Moe Marcus, whose bold artwork brings to life a seaside mansion haunted by ancient secrets and a bride who’s more monster than human. When gold-digging Mona abandons her injured fiancé Donald, he’s rescued by a hidden lineage of crab-like beings—descendants who’ve traded their humanity for survival beneath the waves. Cover by Bernard Baily, this 2017 IDW/Yoe Books standout blends gothic dread with body horror in a story where love turns to vengeance, and the sea holds more than just treasure.

Gold digger Mona wants to marry rich Donald Donder. Donald lives in a huge seaside mansion that is above underwater caverns that are said to be full of riches. Mona doesn't care about Donald, and when he's severely injured after getting her some jewels in the caverns, she leaves him to die. Donald is saved by a race of humanoid crab monsters. They are his family descendants who have found a way to cheat death by taking a serum that turns them into crab creatures so they can live underwater. After taking the serum the now crab-like Donald goes looking for his bride Mona!
