Timid Hubie is worried about the airship journey his family is taking to a tropical island resort. He falls from the airship during a storm, and meets Leo, a long-term castaway on a desert island. Leo teaches him the ways of a castaway's life -- swinging on vines, shooting rapids, etc. As they fall off a waterfall they unexpectedly land on the airship and quickly find themselves at the resort. The father suggests someplace quiet for next year's vacation, but once-timid Hubie thinks they should climb Mount Everest.
