The Boys #47

Darick Robertson's cover for issue #47 sets an immediately unsettling mood: a young red-haired woman sits in a darkened park, wide-eyed and visibly frightened, while the looming silhouette of a large figure — clenched fist prominent — crowds the frame beside her. The single amber streetlamp overhead barely cuts through the shadows, giving the whole scene the uneasy tension Garth Ennis and Russ Braun's mature-readers series does so well.
