DC Black Label's The Boy Wonder opens with a striking cover from Juni Ba — a masked, red-faced figure in a dramatic black-and-gold cape stands centered beneath a grand Gothic arch, a flame flickering from one raised hand, while autumn leaves drift through the air around silent stone-carved figures lining the walls. The composition has an almost ceremonial weight to it, mythic and a little eerie, with Chris O'Halloran's restrained color palette making those bursts of amber and red feel genuinely electric. If this 2024 Black Label series has anything like the visual confidence of its opening image, it's one to watch.
