“The Mystery of Lunablanca”

In the sweltering depths of the Amazon jungle, a woman is abducted by mysterious, amphibious beings reminiscent of the creature from the Black Lagoon—only more ancient and sinister. Her boyfriend races to save her, uncovering a hidden civilization beneath the rainforest canopy, where the creatures seek to crown her their queen. The Mystery of Lunablanca, drawn with bold, dynamic lines by Frank Giusto, delivers a gripping tale of survival and mystery, with Warren Kremer’s striking cover capturing the eerie allure of the jungle’s darkest secrets.

In the steaming Amazon jungle, "Creature from the Black Lagoon"-like creatures kidnap a woman from an expedition. They drug her and want to make her the queen of the lizard people. Her boyfriend intervenes and buries the creatures under an avalanche of rocks. (the movie came out three years later, by the way...)
