The Beauty continues to deliver one of Image Comics' most visually arresting series with this 2017 installment, and Jeremy Haun's cover makes an immediate impression. A woman in a blue dress and red hat dominates the stark white space, her mouth open in a cry or scream, her face and hands bearing the cracked, pallid markings associated with the series' central affliction. The tension between her composed, almost fashionable pose and the unsettling deterioration of her appearance captures exactly the kind of haunting contradiction that makes this series so compelling.
