The Batman Strikes #47
Tied to the Kids WB animated series, The Batman Strikes! #47 arrives in September 2008 with a cover by Andie Tong that puts Bruce Wayne in genuine peril — sprawled and apparently helpless beneath the looming figure of a skull-masked villain in a sharp white suit, whose pointed finger and taunting speech bubble ("Time's up, Bruce Wayne!") make the threat feel very personal. The bat-signal shadow on the floor beneath them adds a sharp visual irony to the scene. Inside, writer Josh Elder and artist Christopher Jones deliver a story cheekily titled "20 Minutes," promising the kind of tight, high-stakes storytelling that made this animated-style series a treat for fans of all ages.
