Batman brings Dr. Kirk Langstrom to the spooky old abandoned mansion of Dr. Jekyll hoping to find any records on Jekyll's cure for his Hyde-transformations that might be applied to curing Langstrom's recurring transformations into Man-Bat. The Mystery, Inc. gang are along at Batman's request, due to their familiarity with the mansion from a previous case. They all find that the mansion, while indeed old and spooky, is not as abandoned as they believed.
