The Avengers Annual #1976
In "Come on in, the Revolution's Fine," Roy Thomas and John Buscema deliver a bold, sharp-turning tale where Valkyrie arrives at Avengers HQ with a mission: rally Wasp and the Scarlet Witch into her all-female team, the Lady Liberators. With the male Avengers distracted at Tom Fagan's Halloween parade, the Masters of Evil strike hard—only for the Lady Liberators to arrive and turn the tide, their victory short-lived when Valkyrie's true identity as the Enchantress is revealed, forcing the heroes to confront their former ally. The clash of ideals and the simmering gender divide ignite a conflict that refuses to be ignored. Cover by Ron Wilson and Frank Giacoia.

Valkyrie shows up at Avengers HQ and convinces Wasp and the Scarlet Witch to join her team of Lady Liberators. With the male members of the Avengers attending Tom Fagan's Halloween parade, the Masters of Evil attack and pummel our heroes. The Lady Liberators show up to save the day and do what their male chauvinist pig counterparts failed to do as they make quick work of the villains. Valkyrie is revealed to be the Enchantress, however, and the lady heroes are forced to defeat their former leader. The gender war rages on.
