The Avengers #6
In "The Coming of the... Wonder Man!", Stephen Strange finds himself caught in a supernatural trap when Mordo vanishes his home into another dimension. With his mentor The Ancient One in danger and Mordo's true intentions hidden in deception, Strange must use every ounce of his mystical knowledge—and even a daring journey through the Earth's core—to turn the tide. Written by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, with art and inks by Ditko, this issue blends eerie mysticism with classic Marvel tension, while Jack Kirby’s cover art captures the looming threat of the title’s mysterious figure.
In "The Many Traps of Baron Mordo!", Doctor Strange finds his home ripped from reality and sent to another dimension by Baron Mordo’s dark magic. With the help of his ethereal form, Strange tracks Mordo down—only to be ensnared in a labyrinth of magical traps. Meanwhile, Mordo schemes to ambush the Ancient One, but Strange, having escaped by journeying through the Earth’s core, has already warned his mentor. The battle ends in defeat for Mordo, yet both Strange and the Ancient One know his threat is far from over.
