“The Coming of the... Wonder Man!”

In "The Coming of the... Wonder Man!", Stephen Strange finds himself caught in a supernatural trap when Mordo vanishes his home into another dimension. With his mentor The Ancient One in danger and Mordo's true intentions hidden in deception, Strange must use every ounce of his mystical knowledge—and even a daring journey through the Earth's core—to turn the tide. Written by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, with art and inks by Ditko, this issue blends eerie mysticism with classic Marvel tension, while Jack Kirby’s cover art captures the looming threat of the title’s mysterious figure.

Mordo places a spell over Strange's house that causes it to vanish to another dimension. Strange manages to track Mordo down using his ethereal form, but it becomes trapped in Mordo's lair. Mordo goes to see The Ancient One, claiming he's changed his way, just so he can attack him unawares. But Strange had found a way to escape by going straight thru the center of the Earth itself, and warned his mentor in advance. Though defeated, both Strange and The Ancient One know Mordo is becoming more powerful all the time.
