The Avenger battles enemy agents who have discovered blueprints and plans for a secret weapon—an airplane with a new type that can be pressed to release carbon dioxide to put out fire. After a confrontation at a blazing farmhouse laboratory, the Avenger's plane crashes on a hillside. At Red Headquarters, Colonel Wright is threatened by a villain who demands he write a letter to his brother Roger Wright; when Roger receives the letter weeks later, he agrees to turn over airplane diagrams and blueprints, only to discover the villain's deception as the Avenger arrives to stop him.
