Jason Howard's cover for this fourth issue is striking in its stark simplicity — a mostly grayscale palette that makes the vivid splashes of crimson blood all the more visceral. The armored Wolf-Man crouches low, muzzle dripping red, his glowing eyes radiating a feral intensity that suggests things have gotten very messy indeed. Robert Kirkman's series continues to push its superhero-meets-monster-horror premise into genuinely unsettling territory, and this image alone makes a compelling case for picking up the issue.
