The Astounding Wolf-Man #14

The wolf-man looms large on this cover, bound in heavy chains and glowing restraints against the bars of what appears to be a prison cell — a massively powerful figure contained, at least for now, by someone who clearly thought chains were the answer. Jason Howard's artwork gives the character an imposing, hulking presence, with those burning yellow eyes radiating barely suppressed menace. Robert Kirkman's 2009 Image series was consistently pushing its hero into darker corners, and this issue's cover makes a compelling case that things have gotten considerably more complicated for our fur-covered protagonist.
