The Anchor #4

The Anchor stands battered but unbowed on this Cover B for issue #4 of Hester and Churilla's 2010 BOOM! Studios series — his scarred, barrel-chested frame rising above a city in ruins as he thrusts a torn demonic heart skyward in triumph. Clawed monstrous limbs press in from both sides of the frame, while smoke and crumbling buildings fill the hellish backdrop, making it clear the Anchor has been earning every one of those wounds. It's a visceral, hard-won image that perfectly captures the bruising spirit of "Five Furies Part Four: Body and Blood.
