Tintin investigates once Sophocles Sarcophagus vanishes while exploring a lost Egyptian tomb. Under pursuit by smugglers and gunrunners he flees across Africa and Asia through many trials, until at last taken in by the Maharaja of Gaipajama. There he locates and breaks the drug-smuggling ring.
