The Adventures of Peter Wheat #41

Peter Wheat and Beetle challenge each other to a winter skiing competition, with Peter accepting Beetle's wager to race down a hill. During their descent, a runaway wagon carrying bread loses control, and Peter attempts to steer it away from a dangerous crevasse while Beetle marks a trail above. When a blizzard forces them to take shelter in a cave, they discover a giant spider inside that threatens them, but Peter manages to disable it by ramming it with the wagon. After escaping the spider and the storm, Peter and his companions return safely to their destination.
