Peter Wheat brings Dragonel to the castle of the Wheat Queen for trial. While Peter rides to get Sammy Sweet as a witness for the trial; the Grand Wizard tricks the Wheat Queen into believing Peter and Sammy are prisoners. In the resulting conflict Dragonel sets fire to her cell. Peter rescues Dragonel but is intercepted by the Hornet Knights. Dragonel insists on letting Peter go free since he had just saved her life.
