The second issue of Dark Horse's The Adventures of Lumen N. surrounds its two central figures — a determined young woman and a robed, white-bearded elder — within a glowing circular portal, while a swirling menace of sharks, sea creatures, and tentacles closes in from every direction. The tension between that warm, almost serene inner circle and the cold blue chaos pressing against it makes for a genuinely arresting cover composition.
