Ranger Clay Morral rides into a village held captive by the outlaw Jackson Reeves and his gang, only to discover he's walked into a carefully laid trap—one that nets him as a prisoner. Frank Reeves, Jackson's nephew and the judge-spared boy now working toward becoming a ranger himself, receives a brutal ultimatum: join his uncle's criminal life or watch Clay die. Trapped together and facing overwhelming odds, Frank and Clay must find a way out before Jackson makes good on his murderous threats.
In a lawless mining camp where thieves and murderers operate freely, two men—a claim owner and a thief—clash when the thief attempts a hold-up, only to find his victim armed and waiting. When both gunmen fall wounded, the miners extract answers from their mutual accusations and decide on frontier justice, keeping the survivors imprisoned until proper law can reach their remote town.
