This issue contains two stories. "A Dangerous Spot" follows Ranger Andy Mason as he pursues the outlaw Pinto Ames, a vicious criminal who has boasted that lawmen will never capture him alive. Captain McCord assigns rangers to multiple positions along the trail, and when Pinto's gang crosses into Texas and raids four ranches, the rangers engage in pursuit. The Apache leader Vittorio divides his band, forcing the rangers to split their forces and follow separate tracks. "Don't Miss Apache Ambush" on the cover teases action involving a young ranger who must prove his courage is ageless in earning his place with the Texas Rangers.
