The issue contains two stories. "Border Jumpers" follows Texas Rangers as they confront outlaws challenging the law of the six-gun along the Texas border. "The Most Desperate Man in Texas" tells of Dal Grady, a Civil War veteran seeking revenge after his ranch was stolen through trickery; when he returns to his old homestead years later, he finds it prosperous but learns that the man who wronged him—King Anderson—has become ruthless and relentless, ambushing Grady repeatedly until tragedy claims both Anderson's life and his son, leaving Grady's own family destroyed.
