“Colt Merchants Buy Killer's Lead!”

In "Colt Merchants Buy Killer's Lead!", Tex Taylor confronts the Ketchums' superstition when they claim their windmill is cursed—killing anyone who approaches, but granting them power over the town. With sharp instincts, Tex uncovers the real danger: a hidden nest of rattlesnakes, which he outsmarts by using pigs to drive them out, exposing the myth for what it is. Penciled by Pierce Rice with inks by Bob Stuart, this 1948 adventure blends frontier grit and clever problem-solving in a story that’s as grounded as it is gripping.
