Tex Ritter pursues a criminal named Buck Dextee who is raising an army of gunmen to take over the town. When Dextee's horse goes mad and throws him, Tex's own horse White Flash intervenes in the ensuing chaos, ultimately helping Tex overcome the threat. The issue also includes an unrelated humorous story, "Slim Pickens in Soup to Nuts," in which a character named Slim Pickens opens a restaurant with money from an uncle's will but struggles to keep it profitable.
