“Washed Up Sourpuss”

In "Washed Up Sourpuss," Mighty Mouse teams up with Jimmy and the Junior Scouts on a hike that turns unexpectedly perilous when a sudden downpour forces them to take shelter in a creepy old house—only to discover it's a hideout for The Claw and his gang. With the Scouts in danger and the forest closing in, Mighty Mouse relies on Jimmy’s scoutcraft to track the cats and save the day. Illustrated by Connie Rasinski, this 1957 adventure blends classic Terrytoons charm with a touch of suspense, all in a 25-cent summer fun book.

When Mighty Mouse joins Jimmy and the Junior Scouts on their annual hike, it seems like the best day ever, at least until their picnic lunch is interrupted by rain, forcing Mitzi Mouse and the Scouts to seek shelter in a creepy, old home while Mighty Mouse flies back to town to grab a bus to transport the kids home. But when the Scouts discover the house is being used as a hideout by The Claw and his gang, all seems lost as they're marched through the forest to a place where they'll be the picnic lunch. Luckily, MM us able to track the cats thanks to Jimmy's scoutcraft in blazing a trail.
