This opening volume of Terres Lointaines introduces readers to a striking cast rendered across multiple panels — a silver-haired woman with a fur-trimmed outfit, a man on a motorcycle cutting across an open landscape, and other figures engaged in what appears to be a tense exchange in an elegant interior. Writer Leo and artist Icar bring a polished, cinematic energy to the page, with Icar's clean linework and rich coloring giving every scene a vivid sense of place and personality. A promising start to what looks like an adventurous new series from Dargaud.
