Published by Oog & Blik in 2007, this Dutch-language edition showcases Adrian Tomine's characteristically spare, elegant linework — two figures, a young woman and a young man, cropped at the shoulders and turned subtly away from each other against a warm tan field dotted with delicate snowflake-like shapes. The restrained palette and quiet emotional distance between the two figures capture exactly the understated tension Tomine does so well. A beautiful object for any fan of thoughtful, literary comics.
