The Image Comics era of TMNT consistently delivered wild, imaginative scenarios, and this March issue is a fine example — the cover places Raphael, swords drawn and battle-ready, leaping before the skeletal frame of a massive dinosaur in a columned, otherworldly chamber. Dominating the foreground is a hulking, armored triceratops-like creature that makes even the dinosaur skeleton look understated by comparison. It's a genuinely striking composition that promises the kind of strange, larger-than-life confrontations that defined this run of the series.
