When Claire moved to a new school, she began dating Larry and tried hard to fit in with the friends in his clique. But Shiela was jealous of the attention Larry was giving the new girl and did eveything she could to humiliate Claire and make her feel like an outsider. The final indignation came at an assembly where Shiela made Claire look the fool. When Claire ran out of the auditorium, mortified, Larry caught up with her to tell her that he knew what Shiela had done and that it didn't matter since she was the one he loved.
