This issue is an anthology containing two stories. "Grand Prix Action with Rick Roberts" features Rick Roberts, whose injuries have not healed since a prior accident, being told by others that he is a fool to drive in his current condition and that winning the race is not important. "The Challenge" follows Motors McHorn, a short, pudgy motor maniac, who encounters the Rod Masters gang and trouble with shifty gears and black dragons around the corner; the story escalates when McHorn confronts the gang, receives a surprising motor head challenge, and a race breaks out with a dozen engines modified to the limit bursting into life. An additional educational feature titled "Cars and Roads" provides factual information about industrial plants, transportation infrastructure, and the role of automobiles in the economy.
