A grinning, red-skinned villain dominates the center of this December 2013 New 52 cover, his unsettling smile framed by shattered-panel fragments that scatter the Teen Titans across the image — Kid Flash and Speedy clashing in one shard, Superboy and Wonder Girl squaring off in another, and a purple-costumed figure lurking in a third. The "Shattered Paths!" tagline feels entirely earned given how the cover design literally splinters the team across broken realities. Written by Scott Lobdell with interior art by Angel Unzueta and Art Thibert, and brought to life on the cover by penciler Eddy Barrows and inker Eber Ferreira, this issue promises the kind of fractured, high-stakes tension the New 52 Titans do so well.
