“Temptress and Trouble-Maker”

In "Temptress and Trouble-Maker," Phyllis finds herself caught between rebellion and redemption when her father sends her to work at a Maine hotel run by his old friend Martha, hoping discipline will tame her spirited nature. There, she bonds with Frank, only to discover his true intentions when a secret scheme is uncovered by Bob—leading her to question her choices and find a new path. Ric Estrada handles both pencils and inks for the story, while Isabel Dawson delivers the moody, evocative cover.

Phyllis's father believes responsibility will cure his daughter of her wild ways so he puts her to work in a Maine hotel operated by Martha, an old friend. She runs around with Frank. When her father announces his plans to marry Martha, Phyllis believes the trip to Maine was only a scheme to reunite with Martha. She plans to get back at her father by marrying Frank. Frank intends to swindle Phyllis's father of $5000, and when Frank is exposed by Bob, Phyllis realizes what a terrible mistake she was about to make. She drops Frank and keeps company with Bob.
